I will find that Million Dollar Sale. I know I will!

I am still waiting for that Million Dollar listing. I know it is out there. I do alot of floor time and this time of year, those floor calls are few and far between. Many of the floor calls that do happen during this Holiday Season are those that are just looking for a price. Some callers will not even give me their name or phone number. They have simply driven by a property, and are asking the price. There are others of course that are shopping on the internet, and are asking for an address. They too, often times do not want to give you any information on themselves, just to inquire the addres. I have even had callers give you an email address that is bogus and does not even work, to protect them from the mean and horrible Realtor that is going to bother them with unwanted email and clog up their email boxes with unsolicited spam. In years past, during December, I found that the "Tire Kickers" were at the Mall, doing their Christmas shopping in December, and the people that really came to your open house, or those that were calling during your December floor time were those that were serious buyers. This year, I find those tire kickers are still out there making calls and giving phony phone numbers after they have the information they needed. So Floor Time now, is spent prospecting every day, and doing some Blogging, and following up on the deals currently in the process of closing at some future point.

So we know that Million Dollar listing is out there, and we know that they are out there looking for an honest Realtor. But are they going to be calling, or do we need to find it outselves?

I am a believer that it will never land in our lap. We need to go out and find it. Prospecting daily, talking to people at the Grocery Store, at Home Depot, and the checkout line at the post office, just about anywhere.... keep handing out my cards. I will find that Million Dollar listing. Then I will find that Buyer to go along with it as well.

Donald- Hard work and perseverance will get you that million dollar listing. Good luck.

Hi Donald, I've noticed the same trend in my area.  It used to be that if you got a call in December, they were serious.  This year, the almost seem more hesitate as the holidays approach.  I could go on forever about why that might be, but who knows if I'm right.  In the end, hardwork will pay off and we'll both find that million dollar listing and maybe a couple buyers too.  Happy holidays!

It may be great to have a Million Dollar Listing - Put will that listing ever SELL?  That's the important question!

Donald,

A lot of good people have gone before you, wanting and waiting for that "Million Dollar Sale." The actual number doesn't matter, were talking about the "big one!"

It was a real shame they failed while all those lesser people succeed selling $250,000.00 or $300,000.00 properties! Life's just not fair.

Most think bigger is better, same work 4 times the commission. The truth is one "biggie" can be 5 or 6 times the work. Not to mention the neglected opportunities, because you waited for the "biggie.".

Prospecting is a life style. I suspect you know that. (I love your last paragraph! It should be in bold type.)

Stay positive and say to yourself, I have million dollar listings.  And believe it. And it will be done. Now don't resist the listing.  Go with the flow.

I have live by The Secret for the past year.  I sold over $16M in properties and currently have over $14M in listings.

Every goal you set is acheivable, but don't write it and not believe it.  Write it, Say it and Live as though it was so.

Hi Don.

I wish you luck looking for the million dollar listing.  I am a firm believer in prospecting and trying to get my business plan (If I could find one that I really like) together for 2008.  However my prospecting is not necessarily for the million dollar listing. The team and I have had a couple of them this year and my personal experience is you can have the million dollar one and I will take five $200,000.

Best of luck in 2008, I know you will do well.

As Bill said, I love the last paragraph Donald.  When I first started, I dreamed of finding 'The Elephant' and now I am all about the volume.  Though, I always keep my eyes wide open:-)
