Just came back from a meeting with Ridley Township commissioners, and developer for the redevelopment of the Penn Hills apartment complex. The meeting was held at the Knights of Columbus. The audience was packed with residents who had lots of questions for both the township officials and the developer. It looks like the project will entail 15 of the apartment buildings owned by Pennrose Developers. Jacob Fisher was the spokesperson for the company and brought the plans for the new project. It would entail the demo of 120 units and replace them with 45 units. The long term plan would be for the developer to acquire the remaining 44 buildings and redevelope those also. I think this project would help property values increase in the surrounding neighborhood. The apartment complex has been a source of aggravation to both the neighbors and Ridley police for a number of years.
