Desaki, located on Rt. 611 in Swiftwater, recently changed its' name from Shiro's to reflect the "destination" the owner says it has become. Desaki features dancing, a bar and other entertainment in addition to the hibachi and sushi food it serves. In some cases change, like the name is good, some as we will see, in the menu and prices, are not. Let's start off in the fact that Desaki slaps you in the face with a new "no tap water" policy. They want you to buy bottled water at a ridiculous price. Next, I ordered saki and got a small flask at an expensive price. Strike two. Well although Desaki got two strikes they didn't strike out completely. Although expensive, the hibachi and sushi are of the highest quality. Their hibachi chefs are masterful and put on a good show. Very good food compensates for a high price tag. Not for everyday dining or even monthly, you experience Desaki as a rare treat. All in all Desaki scores a B+. Pros - Good food, entertainment, Cons- Expensive, No free water.
