Do you Want to be a Hero? Lingohocken Fire Company is Looking for Volunteers

The Lingohocken Fire Company is looking to up their numbers and is holding a recruitment BBQ on Saturday 10/2.  Do you want to join in?

The Lingohocken Fire Company is composed of a wonderful group  who do so much more for this community than put out fires (and really, that would be enough, right?)

My favorite thing is the annual Santa run when Santa and Mrs. Clause come around on the fire trucks.  We live on a REALLY small dead-end street, but they always take the time to stop, get off the truck and take a picture with us.  The kids go crazy.

The also offer an annual Fire Safety Day where they have the community come out and learn about fire safety.  Only this isn't boring lectures of demonstrations - these guys give the kids a turn on the firehoses.  THE FIREHOSES!  Again, the kids go crazy

This little firehouse enhances the community in numerous ways and I'm thankful that we have them watching our backs.
