When I get away from Naples in the fall, I like to escape the Florida heat and humidity. This year's choice was Eastern Canada.
I have been golfing in Prince Edward Island on the East Coast of Canada for a week now. I have played four courses and they are all different. Many of the golf courses are hilly and the putting greens have lots of undulation, making putting very, very difficult. These courses are nothing like Pelican Bay or Quail Creek where I play regularly.
I encountered another problem today. We played a course called Fox Meadow. Gorgeous course. However when you come up to the greens this is what you see. The foxes sit and wait behind the trees just off the green. When they see a ball land on the green, they run out and grab it .and run away. They think they are eggs! Slow learners, I guess.
On the scorecard there is a rule: If a fox takes your golf ball, replay from same location without penalty. Now, that is unique!
