Bottles or Cans....Pepsi (PBG) will make money!

The province's environment minister doesn't expect any one will be out of a job when bottling production shuts down at a Pepsi bottling plant in Charlottetown.
The Pepsi Bottling Group (PBG) announced Wednesday that its glass bottling production facility will convert to a satellite warehouse in the spring.
The company said the conversion is a result of the upcoming regulations to permit the sale of carbonated beverages in cans and plastic bottles on the Island for the first time in more than 20 years.
PBG will continue to sell beverages in glass bottles until the regulation comes into effect. George Webster announced Thursday legislation should be in place by May 1.
He said he is very happywith Pepsi's announcement that they will use their bottling site as a satellite distribution system, allowing the company to retain about 60 employees.
He added the approximately 23 workers expected to lose their job as a result of the conversion to a satellite warehouse could be put to work in the deposit/refund system.
