Beach Point, Prince Edward Island, Canada

Lighthouse, Beach Point, PEI

On the very southeastern tip of Prince Edward Island lies the picturesque fishing community of Beach Point. The above picture shows the lighthouse at the entrance to the Beach Point wharf, and the 5 Murray Islands. Just next to the Beach Point lighthouse is a super ocean sand beach for swimming and summer fun. Many residents of Beach Point and surrounding communities gather at the beach in the summer season and enjoy the best of summer fun in PEI.

Most of the residents of Beach Point, PEI are involved in the PEI Fishing Industry. In May & June each year, the Beach Point fishermen set their 300 lobster traps to catch the delicious lobster that is fairly abundant in the nearby ocean waters. Some of the PEI lobster caught are processed at the local Fish Plant that is located on the Beach Point Wharf. The larger lobsters are usually shipped away live to other markets around the world. This lobster industry is not only good for the Beach Point fishermen but it also gives work to the many plant workers in the area of Beach Point and surrounding communities.

Beach Point also is a good PEI Real Estate area of PEI because it has some nice PEI Residential homes that are purchased by local residents and also non-residents from as far away as British Columbia, Canada. These non-resident buyers enjoy the safe and secure environment that Beach Point offers them, especially in their retirement years.
