This morning, Melissa and I decided to go grab a quick breakfast before starting our day of stacking wood, painting the kitchen and assorted chores. There's a place around the corner that we hear good things about so we headed over to J&D Family Restaurant.
We were seated right away, and our meals got to us faster than I could blink! I ordered the Wood Cutters Omelette, which was made up of corned beef hash, onions and cheddar cheese. It came with a side of homefries and toast. To be honest, the homefries were a bit dry, but the rest of the meal was terrific. Melissa had blueberry pancakes which she said were "just right". Our server was very friendly and helpful. We told her we were new to the neighborhood and asked to see a dinner menu, which she brought over, along with a take home menu. Unfortunately I didn't get her name! We each had a glass of orange juice and a cup of coffee.
Total - $23.00 (the high price of OJ!!)
The verdict: We would definitely go back for a quick breakfast. Conveniently right around the corner!
