It seems personalities always end up in the middle of business, with some people. On eof my agents has a pending sale with a particular broker. That sale is a short sale, and the listing broker had offered up 2% to the buyer agent, but was collecting 4% for themselves... when the bank found that out, they forced the broker to downsize the comission, but left our agent with the same 2%... the broker obviously was annoyed, and now does not return calls to our agent, denies access to others of his listings, and is in general rude to our agent...
I am tempted to let the seller know that this is the case, and to also alert the local and State boards of this activity, but have nto yet determined to do so.
This guy is a used car salesman, in the worst way... when working the pending sale, all he wanted to was to "make a deal" fast furious... and then the short sale takes months to move forward.
I am truly tempted to out this guy...I would mention his name here, but I have some decorum left, despite this fellow.
In any event, if you are listing your home for sale, make sure you have an agent that is willing to cooperate with other agents, show the house on demand, and is looking out for your best interest rather than their own.
You will be surprised how often some agents act solely in their own interest, and how often these very agents pretend to be on your side. Be careful people. Your house could have sold for more money, with better terms for you, if you had the right agent.
