Agent showing buyer a foreclosed house, finds a crew removing the copper!

Today, one of our agents was showing a foreclosed multifamily investment property to a potential buyer... it was listed with a brokerage that handles a good many foreclosed properties in that area...

When they arrived to view the property, which was being handled with a lock box, a van had just pulled up in front of the house, and the crew was banging open the rear door to get in... they were intending to remove all the copper from the house, from what the agent overheard. That would include the pipes, furnace liners, hot water boilers, and heating radiators, among other things...

The agent called the listing brokerage, and then the police. Police came nearly immediately, while agents from the other firm showed up almost as quickly... and soon, the owner of the other agency came to the place.

What happened after that, only time will tell, as the police are still, as we speak, interviewing the agents, and the culprits. I will post what happened after that as soon as we have word...

Amazing what goes on these days... theft, vandalism, etc.

Check back for an update.
