Good Eats

If you've been looking for an alternate to the chain restaurant debacle that is so dutifully crammed down our throats then Julian's is the place for you. It's located at 318 Broadway in Providence, RI. My girlfriend and I frequent this place in order to get away from the monotony of the almighty chains. It offers flavorful dining within a relaxed atmosphere.

We love the unique menu which is highlighted by numerous vegetarian dishes. Don't worry, you can still have all the red meat you'd like as well as delicious fish and chicken options. They also have plenty of daily specials which are dreamt up based on that days fresh fare at the market. I won't get into a dish by dish review. This isn't a critics view just a couple of healthy food lovers who want to share a diamond in the rough.

If you're a fan of retro design then you'll love the look inside. The restroom is particularly interesting. Star Wars figures abound in a large wooden cabinet above the fake fireplace. The dining area is adorned with all sorts of great trinkets from the 70's and 80's. Even the tabletops are really great to look at. They even offer beer and wine if you'd like to have a drink or ten.
