50 State Tour of Localism: Next Stop ???

Many of you read my member spotlight a few weeks back on New Mexico ActiveRain members.

In that blog I retold how I was capitivated by the Localism Photos posted by our New Mexico colleaguesNM Photo by Laura Warden.

That post helped me branch out from my usual ActiveRain reading and discover some very talented writers, photographers and real estate professionals.

And so a new series: 50 State Tour of Localism was born.

Please join me on my 2nd stop: Rhode Island. Although I reside in the great state of Texas now, Rhode Island will always be my favorite state for coastal getaways. Especially Block Island, which in my opinion beats any tropical vacation island. Of course, I was married there so I may be a little biased!

Rhode Island has the charm & history of New England, plus a few ski slopes, a great coastline and some amazing island retreats.

Karen Hurst was the first AR member I met from Rhode Island. Karen does a great job keeping us informed on the Rhode Island Real Estate market. She frequently contributes valuable posts like: "What you should know about the Rhode Island Real Estate Market." And Karen's Localism photos showcase her beautiful state.

Karen is joined on AR by John Cain who provides many useful articles for Rhode Island consumers. His blog on local links is a one-stop shop for Rhode Island online info. Last time I cheched there were 90 Rhode Island members on ActiveRain and I look forward to reading more from them all.

But what I love best about visiting Rhode Island on Localism is the photos.
