Endurance, strength, flexibility, dedication, and perseverance; all required for an Olympian is also necessary for a real estate agent to make it to the closing table unscathed. Some days it is a marathon
and some days a sprint.
The worst days, for me, are those that require a relay. I just don't like passing the baton.
Recently I have been slightly disappointed in the lack of effort put forth by transactional parties necessary to reach a successful close.
Hurdles? I get it. But when forced to run a relay with teammates NOT of my choosing, I would just rather keep the baton and get to the finish line.
Is it the complacency caused by a "still" market? Are agents, lenders, and even some home inspectors out of shape?
It is simply imperative that we remain on top of our game. If you haven't had a transaction in a while, go practice!
Stretch, run, use your lock box!!! Please don't let your real estate muscles get stiff!
