More Than a Virtual Family

To all my active rain friends:

Thank you for allowing me and my best friend, Jackson in to your homes and offices this past year. Your comments on our fishing trips, mishaps, and daily lives always made me smile. Your support and comments over the past two weeks have meant more than I would have imagined.

Jackson had to say goodbye yesterday after 13 long loving years. He died just as he lived, in my arms.

Your kind emails, comments, phone calls, and prayers made the last two weeks bearable. It was amazing to me, how some of you knew so much about my best friend.

Thank you all. The loss is enormous, I am certain it will take a long, long time for me to feel like myself again.

I know the captain is waiting for me in heaven. My sincerest appreciation to my Active Rain family. I promise to be back soon.
