Taking a Day Trip from Beaufort South Carolina

We took Highway 21 to Highway 17 North toward Charleston.......

First Stop: Kiawah Island, Jasmine Court, The Sanctuary, for Sunday Brunch; however, we did not make reservations (Note for future visitors, reservations recommended). We ended up dining at The Ryder Bar at The Atlantic Room. The Angus Burger is delicious. Also, beware of the Bloody Marys, they have a kick to them!! The views from The Ryder Bar at The Atlantic Room, Kiawah Island are incredible!

Second Stop: COSTCO!! No visit to Charleston would be complete for a Beaufort resident without a stop by Costco, which is located on the Beaufort side of I-26 before you get to the City of Charleston.

Third Stop: Isle of Palms! We took time to enjoy the views of the Atlantic Ocean from Windjammer and Coconut Joe's. Even took time to play Bowling on the Wii at Coconut Joe's before heading back toward Beaufort via Shem Creek. My first time visiting Isle of Palms and Coconut Joe's was for Mike Sackman's retirement from the Navy....oh the memories, Mike.........

Fourth Stop: Red's Icehouse on Shem Creek. We enjoyed steamed shrimp and crab cakes before returning from our day trip/adventure.

There are so many wonderful options for Day Trips from Beaufort South Carolina. Kiawah, Charleston, Isle of Palms, and Shem Creek are a few of our neighbors to the North, but you have Savannah and Hilton Head Island to our south.
