The Historic Downtown District of Charleston is considered to be the cultural capital of the South. Be sure to experience a guided tour through historic landmarks, including 18th century homes, museums, churches, the Battery and the City Market. A very popular attraction is the South Carolina Aquarium, located on the Charleston Harbor. Fort Sumter and Fort Moultrie, along with Patriot’s Point are great places to go to learn about the local war history and involvement.

No trip to Charleston is complete without paying a visit to one of the three area beaches. Sullivan’s Island, Isle of Palm and Folly Beach are all great options to soak up the sun. If you like to surf or enjoy other water sports, head to Folly Beach.
