Yesterday, I did an open house in River Club, a section of Indigo Run Plantation that features beautiful elegant homes on huge homesites close to the water. Everytime I drive into this section, I marvel at this majestic tree that overlooks the scenic lagoon. So, I offer it up to all of you---wouldn't you just love to know the history behind this spot? How old is the tree? Was there any significance to the area during the Civil War? Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Looks like a great spot!
I just wanted to say Thank you for your support in my efforts!
Merry Christmas!
your friend in Charlottesville!
Diane--I am marveling at your weather yesterday. We had our first measureable snow and the lakes are starting to freeze around here. I love that big beautiful tree...It's trunk compared to the others, is huge!
I did notice my photo was a bit crooked but didn't have time to go back and redo it. Sloppy on my part.
Diane, beautiful photograph.... that bench beckons me...here I come. ;-) Ooops, forgot, the weather is probably a bit nippy this time of year, yes? ;-)
Teri,
You would just need a light jacket on a sunny afternoon PLUS a good book!
