Want to Know a Secret?

Since landscape is a subject I know something about, let me share the following with you:

Have you ever said: "Wow what a yard?" and wondered how that person got their grass to look so good - when yours looks tired and yellow. It may be that they started the year before by correctly fertilizing their yard in the fall. If your grass is a cool season grass, such as fescue, the correct time to fertilize is September, October and November. You do this by applying at least 1 lb of nitrogen per 1000 sq ft of yard. A good fertilizer to use is 16-4-8 with micro nutrients. Apply it 3 times during the fall season. This will get your grass growing great as it builds carbohydrates to take it through the winter season to the spring season as a lush beautiful yard.
