That's alot of geese, Liz.  The geese themselves are cool.  I don't think what they leave behind is too great.

I know what you mean. They contaminate the lakes and ponds and make a mess of things. They can be really noisy buggers too with all that honking!

I'm with you, Liz. They (the geese, I mean) look beautiful until they leave:) Then, it's no so pretty anymore:)

I don't have any problems with geese where I am, but I can see where you would take issue with the evidence of their presence at your place.

Thank you for that very graphic depiction of what they leave behind, LOL. I guess no one saw you snapping a picture of the goose poop, or else they might have locked you up... but then again, we can't see where you are actually posting from...

Yes, I know the same is true in reverse... :D

OMG this was TOO funny (but not, I understand! ;-) )...

This is EXACTLY why I don't like elephants!

I love geese...they go good with potatoes and stuffing and...or they are good in the neighbors yard.  You pick!

Liz --- you are sooooo right --- they make such a mess in our yard and there is not way for us to get rid of them.

Judy --- ditto --- they are so messy --- when people talk about how cute they are, I just cringe.

Joanna --- I wish that we could get them to leave --- they ruin our yard. Thanks for the comment.

JL --- they are a real nuisance ----we cannot get rid of them, either. They won't leave.

Andrea --- you made me laugh.  You are soooo right --- if anyone had seen me, they would have certainly thought that I had lost my mind --- especially if my children has seen me. LOL   :)

Marney --- Geese are so destructive --- they eat your grass until there is no more grass and they leave the horrible poop all over the place.  We cannot get rid of them. I counted 75 at our place yesterday afternoon.

Thet are nothing more than a flying cow!

Kathleen --- very funny --- at least with elephants, it would be your choice to have them at your home. With the geese, we have no choice in the matter --- we cannot seem to get rid of them.

Vern ---you are right --- anywhere but in your own yard --- they are terrible.

Boyd --- I had forgotten that analogy --- very good or maybe even a flying elephant.

Liz,

Just serve fried "chicken" at your next AgentOwned picnic!

John --- I wish that we could shoot them, but of course, that is against the law. Thanks for your comment.

Stop thinking of them as annoying and start thinking of them with gravy and potatoes!

Todd Clark - www.LivingBeaverton.com

Todd --- thanks for your comment.  However, I don't think I could eat the geese and after I have seen how dirty they are.

Oh, the geese.  I have to agree that they can make a mess.  There is a development in Sumter that has ponds and tons of geese.  The worst part is that there is an area with soccer fields right next to it.  The geese hang out on the soccer fields during the week and then get run off on Saturdays so the kids can play soccer.  I for one would not allow my child to play on the field.

Kim --- my goodness, you are so right -- those children should not be playing on that field.
