In Honor of Jimmy Klavohn Mt Pleasant SC

The son of a good friend and an agent-owner for 17 years with our Johnnie Dodds office in Mt. Pleasant, Jimmy Klavohn, passed away on Monday, Sept. 28, 2009 -- he was 31 years old.

His mother, Susan Klavohn Bryant, is indeed a dear friend, and most loyal supporter of her family including her AgentOwned family. All of our hearts were broken --- Susan works so hard to take care of her family, her friends and her clients. To see Susan suffer such a tragedy was most difficult.

Jimmy Klavohn served 2 years overseas in the Marine Corps. He loved to have a good time -- he loved to be on the water more than anyone I know. He was a Boat Captain offering fishing charters. Jimmy said that being on the water fishing was the closest thing to heaven that he knew.

Jimmy was always in and out of the office helping his Mother with everything from putting up signs to cutting grass on those listings that needed it to cutting trees when needed. When Jimmy wasn't working for his living, he was working for his Mother.

I watched Jimmy grow up -- met him when he was 14 -- he was always so polite when in the office -- so well mannered. Of course, things were not always smooth sailing with Jimmy, but this is true of all teenagers. I remember loaning Jimmy the money to buy a boat -- his Mother wanted him to have to be responsible about paying it back, so she told him he would have to borrow the money. When Jimmy came to me, I called Boyd (hubby) and we immediately loaned it to him --- Yes, he paid it back according to the terms. I loved Jimmy.

AT the funeral services, I was so touched by the huge crowd who came to celebrate the life of the fun loving Jimmy Klavohn --the large chapel could not hold everyone who wanted to show their respect for Jimmy -- way too young to be leaving this earth.

In honor of Jimmy Klavohn of Mt. Pleasant SC, I write this loving post. Peace be with you, Jimmy and peace be with you, Susan -- you were an absolute awesome Mother to Jimmy.
