A Picture Tells a Thousand Stories - Part I

People who know me well like Josh and Helen of Fuzzco (CYH’s fearless and extremely creative agency) can attest that I can’t stand the fact that the Real Estate world seems hell bent on preaching the importance of displaying one’s mug shot anywhere and everywhere. As a protest Fuzzco and I even came up with the now infamous “Don’t Judge a Realtor by their Picture” campaign, which was officially banned by the omnipresent Post and Courier, but I’ll save that story for another Blog!

So it must have come as a complete shock to J&H to hear me say “can you guys take some photos of Carolyn and I for a new campaign?” Yeah I even shocked myself! After graciously accepting the challenge, the four of us took off for Riverfront Park, which is located in The Navy Yard at Noisette. I am a little ashamed to say that as many times as I had been to Noisette before I never stopped to visit the park. Carolyn and I were overwhelmed at how beautiful it was. I would encourage anyone visiting the Charleston area to include this spot along your travels.

Set on the banks of the beautiful Cooper River, Riverfront Park has been built near the historic homes once occupied by the Naval Base Admiral and officers, surrounded by graceful old oak trees and peaceful river vistas. Bordered by Noisette Creek, the park boasts a magnificent contemporary Performance Pavilion and Grand Lawn. The national Outdoor Sculpture Competition and Exhibition is also installed there. As Realtors® we were amazed that someone hadn’t already snatched up the property surrounding this little slice of heaven. A lot of the photos that were taken that day actually capture us strategizing on how best to make that happen! I will keep you posted on our progress.
