Religion?!?

Religion!?!

Okay, here is a sticky topic. I may lose some readers over this topic and hope that you can keep an open mind. First of all, let me tell you that I believe in some type of higher power. Personally, I say in tuned with the Universe and the Universe is God. In this blog, the name God and Universe are interchangeable. I will never claim that I am going to heaven over a man who changes the name of God, whether it be to Universe, Buddha, Allah, or any other name. To me it is the understanding and belief in a higher power that matters. I apologize to you if that offends you but please try to realize that this is where my mind is at this time as I will appreciate where your mind is at this time and our levels of understanding our different. You will never be mad, if you can understand that people operate under their levels of understanding and you try to appreciate every circumstance and learn from everything. We are truly just student and teacher at all times. Nothing more and nothing less. Right now you are learning my understanding and when I read your comments you will be my teacher.

So I have been reading a great book about all the different religions. The book is called," God's Breath" and it touches base on about six books of religion. At this time, I have only read the book of Genesis and am currently reading the Tao te Ching. The book of Genesis is different. I am not saying that the book is any type of outrageous but I didnt really understand why certain events happened. I understood being mad at man and drowning everything so we needed the Arc. I understand that Eve was the cause, man was dumb and happy with doing what he is told. (Ha, Ha) I understand jealousy and Cain and Abel. I understand faith but did not understand circumsizing everybody or being willing to kill my child in faith of God or the Universe. I may be killed for this blog but I would die and spend an eternity in Hell before I would kill my child. Im sorry but that is how I feel. I feel that God as a gracious being would not ask someone to do that. I understand that it was just a test but I think he tests in other ways. What is up with the circumsizing? So is that the reason why we are all circumsized? Really, because King James may have misinterpreted something, we have all been circumsized? Why would God want us to do that? I mean no disrespect to the higher power. I have utmost respect for God or the Universe or whoever built it all.

In my mind, there has to be some higher power as even if you believe in the big bang theory something had to create the gases and the matter to blow up. There had to be a beginning. There has to be the Alpha. I feel bad for people that arent open minded enough to at least explore the possibility of there being a God or higher power. I know you are going to be mad at me for this one, but I also feel bad for the people who are not open minded enough to believe that their religion may not be the only correct answer. Religion also to me is not going to church. There are Pastors who are evil and bad people just like in every other part of the world. Some are worse because they use the church as their excuse. When I evicted my last tenant due to non-payment, she told me that it was because she was working at the church for free during the day. I told her to get another job and she told me that it would work out. Real christian lady that drove a Jaguar but refused to pay her bills. I had to get rid of her. To spite me, she drove her car through my yard, nearly missing my baby's room, poured bleach on the carpets, and destroyed the house. Just because you go to church doesnt mean you are a good person. I am glad for this experience as I have learned a lot about punishing myself and my family at the benefit of other people. That condo was brand new and she destroyed it. I will never hurt my family to help someone out again. I have learned a lot about myself, my values and my priorities since the birth of my baby Sophie.

Next in the book is the Tao te Ching. This book is an Eastern religion meaning the way or the spiritual way. Its a bit confusing but what I take from it are sayings like; if you have to ask, you will never know. To me that means many things; patience and the answers will come, you already know the answer, balance in everything, everything is correct in its own way, and so much more.

Well, that is what I have for now but expect more as I learn more.
