The Rice Paddy is one of my favorite resturants... BUT The Steak at J&D's was the BOMB!

Finally got around to checking out the new restaurant here on the south end of Pawleys Island and

wow what a nice surprise! It was late so we had the place to ourselves we were greeted with a smile by one of the owners, who introduced himself as the J in J & D's, who gave us the best table in the house in front a a toasty warm fire. This was a treat since we have had such cool weather this week. Service was prompt and friendly the Manhattan (a double) was wonderful and the fresh bread warm and tasty. The salad was fresh and crispy with home made salad dressing to choose from which was amazing! But when the main dish came, Ribs and Filet Mignon, I have to say it was the best ribs and steak I have had in a while! The fall off the bone ribs were so tender and not too messy, the filet could be cut with a butter knife or fork and it was perfectly cooked! I am glad it is so close to home! I also used one of my Restaurant.com coupons so the entire meal including tax and tip was about $30.
