Pendleton SC is Looking Forward by Maintaining the Past

I read this article and have to say I was glad to hear that the Pendleton Planning Commission and town planner have been working with businesses to draft regulations related to the square. If you have never had the pleasure of visiting Pendleton and enjoying the charm of the historic Town Square, you really need to take the time to check it out.

Pendleton is a wonderful town with many historic buildings and a location that is convenient to Anderson and Clemson. It is only 30 miles from Greenville making it an ideal bedroom community for people wanting to live in a quiet small town but work in a large city.

Pendleton’s square has been on the National Register of Historic Places since the 1970s. It is known for its collection of antique shops, and I have been lucky so far to avoid an expensive trip to these shops with my wife. There are many other types of businesses in Pendleton’s Historic District such as restaurants, lawyer’s office, a bridal dress shop and more.

It really is great to see a town, the citizens and the town’s government working together to not just preserve but ensure the vitality of its crowning jewel. If you would like to find out about real estate for sale in Pendleton or the surrounding area please feel free to contact me
