WOW! Opening my Own Real Estate Company

I woke up June 29th like any other day in 2009. Kids, Food, Cleaning house, whatever came I went with it. That after noon I received a phone call from my current Broker in Charge saying I would not be getting my paycheck and a lame excuse when I asked why. I decided at that moment that I was going to work for myself! I was tired of being jerked around by bosses!!

June 30 th in the wee hours of the morning, I wrote my resignation letter. I couldn't sleep anyway so why wait! As soon as I awoke after falling asleep, I sent the letter off by e-mail...WHEWWW!

What a great feeling of stress being relieved! I arranged to pick up all my things that my broker had removed from my sales center while I was out on sick leave. Yes I had just had surgery and been out with a doctors note for two weeks. While I was out on sick leave all my personal belongings had been removed and put somewhere that I was not made aware of.

After hours of 'discussing' my license, the items that I had of theirs and my items; I was finally able to head to Columbia SC to change over my license (we started this meeting at 8:30 am BTW). I got to Columbia by 3 pm which is a 2 hour drive. By 5pm I had my new license that said Mary Iacovelli Realty, LLC Broker In Charge! WOW! I did it! Spur of the moment as is most of my life but I did it! No turning back now.....
