Do you have a state park anywhere near you? I've searched the Charleston area, and unfortunately I cannot find one available close-by.
But if you do have one near you, then you'll want to mark your calendar for this coming Saturday. And that's because Saturday, September 26 2009 is National Public Lands Day and entrance to all 391 national parks is free!
You will want to check with your park before heading out just to make sure that they're participating.
And if you aren't an outdoors person, then you'll be happy to know that September 26 is also the day that you get free admission to any Smithsonian affiliate museum.
Pretty cool, huh? You could even make it an all-day adventure and head outdoors for half the day and then checking out a local museum the other half!
