10th annual Pickens County Health and Fitness Fair
With the economy hurting many people today, it is great that the 10th annual Pickens County Health and Fitness Fair is happening again. It will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Central-Clemson Indoor Recreation Center, and it promises to be the biggest one yet.
The free health fair will feature a record 38 to 40 booths of exhibitors and health screenings. You can get flu and pneumonia shots for $25, a liver function test for $10 (which might be a bad idea for me considering my mispent youth), lipid panel (HDL, LDL, Triglycrerides TC/HDL ratio, glucose) for $30 and cholesterol/glucose combination for $10!
Everybody is reminded to bring their Medicare and supplemental cards to get the free flu shots and pneumonia vacines.
