57th Annual Carolina Carillon Holiday Parade

More entries, new floats, terrific marching bands and more! Joining the parade this year for the first time as Grand Marshal is the University of South Carolina's 2010 national championship baseball team. The theme for this year’s parade is “The 12 Days of Christmas.” The parade will begin at 9:45 a.m. at Gervais and Bull Streets and proceed west on Gervais, pass in front of the State House, and continue into the Vista to Park Street. http://www.carolinacarillon.com/

For the 4th year, SERCO presents its Annual Holiday Taste & Tour of Lower Richland historical sites. Departing from the historical Harriet Barber House in Hopkins and guided by a local historian, guests will travel by bus to the Kensington Mansion; Antioch AME Zion Church (organized 1838); Neal Ecological & Heritage Preserve, and the Historic Village of Hopkins. In addition to a performance by a string quartet at the Kensington Mansion, tourists will be treated to light refreshments at each site. The last stop offers a chance to shop at the Farmers Market and visit the Museum in the Historical Village of Hopkins.
