An Area Rich With A Waterfowl History!
January 19 - 20, 2008
Another celebration of our unique history to take place the weekend of January 19 - 20, 2008 in the waterfront community of Georgetown South Carolina, The Winyah Bay Heritage Festival. This is the second event, our inaugural one occurred in January 2007. The festival showcases the uniqueness of our area, our rich waterfowl history, the hunting and fishing, all of which have been a important part of our history for over 300 years.
Not only does our coastal community appeal to locals, is has hosted many famous visitors in the past, such as Presidents, Ambassadors, successful Businessmen and Celebrities! You really never know who is visiting the beach areas of Pawleys Island, Litchfield Beach or Debordieu.
The Winyah (pronounced win - yaw) Bay Heritage Festival is a two day event with exciting waterfowl collectibles, art on display and for sale, seminars, lectures, retriever and duck calling contests and on site appraisals for decoys. You can tour through the historic district, take the trolley and hear more history or cruise the Winyah Bay by boat. We have great shopping, dining and night life.
Come visit our charming seaport Georgetown, South Carolina, dine in one of our award winning restaurants and visit the Prudential Source One Properties office downtown on Front Street to see how affordable our land, condo's and homes is! We will there to welcome you.
