SMILE, SMILE, SMILE!

When you're talking on the phone, please be sure to SMILE! It makes a difference that I promise you'll see results from. You can sense if someone on the other line is smiling and your voice will naturally be more cheerful. Try it out, and you'll see what I'm talking about. A smile is one of the most powerful communication tools that we have.

Start and end every day with a smile :)

Sheri, I agree it does make a difference.  I don't do gloomy days well and often I will just stay off of the phone because I know that I don's sound chipper.  Thank goodness we don't have many gloomy days in Houston.

Great advice Sheri. What makes it best of all is that it really works. Smiling can be heard over the phone and it actually does make you feel better. Thanks for the reminder.

Great advice! thanks

Sheri:  I think smiling is quite important, but it is also fun to have a decent-sized mirror next to the phone so I can make funny faces and see them when I am talking with either a hard-to-get-along-with client or agent.  :)

Good advice Sheri, try putting a mirror next to your phone and watching yourself and you answer!
