Baby Boomers Who are Looking for an Active Lifestyle on the Lake

For years I have been begging my builders to build Ranch style homes and Ranch style basements...new construction, not the 60's style. Finally, I have accomplished it! We are building a section in Handsmill on Lake Wylie with Baby Boomers or Retirees in mind....also anyone who wishes to avoid stairs! The Village section will feature European inspired and craftsman styled 2500 -3200 sf custom ranch homes. There will be features such as "green" homes, handles instead of knobs for doors, higher counter tops, lots of storage, flex space etc...

We have so many clients that come in from NY, NJ, CA, FL, looking for a place in the south to retire to with activities that are not geared to the elderly. In Handsmill, it is gated, a marina, walking trails, boat slips, bark park, garden plots, play ground, clubhouse, fitness center, swimming pool, sandy beach area.......! All in the lower tax district of York County with award winning schools. This makes for a multi-generational community where parent, children and grandchildren can enjoy themselves.

The first ranch I sold 4 years ago was just starting construction when a couple came in looking for a ranch. They had been all over Charlotte looking for a new one. They could not find it. Since then, I have had many clients wanting ranch homes for many reasons. ie: "My parents are getting older and when they come visit they do not like stairs", "I am going to have to have knee replacement surgery", "I am thinking of my future". I would love a ranch.
