As I traveled yesterday from Myrtle Beach, SC to Atlanta, GA to visit family, I realized something that was a great way to save some money while traveling. The total time of our drive is right around 6 hours and is just over 385 miles. Normally when making this trip, I make a few stops along the way to stretch, have a snack, etc... and of course get gas.
Well, on this trip I was determined to purchase gas before leaving South Carolina into GA. The reason for this is that Gas in South Carolina is right now the cheapest in the US. SO, In Augusta, SC I stopped and filled up. The price there was $3.74/gallon. On the other side of the border less than a mile away prices jumped to $3.91/gallon So, when you are either traveling to or from Myrtle Beach, get your gas in South Carolina instead of our neighboring states.

I noticed that to. Isn't that something! We run into it when driving from Ft. Bragg to Ft. Benning. Glad you shared with the AR community.....Thanks.
Jeremy, what the heck I thought you weren't going to blog any-more, you were done finished, time away signing off, that didn't take long... Have a great trip Steve
Linda- I was amazed at the difference!
Steve- I am an addict, what can I say...actually while visiting the in-laws, I actually have a little more free time!
JEREMY - Is it crazy that I am longing for $3.91 / gallon? We are over $4.20 at every local gas station.
Adam- it is kinda nuts...I was happy to get $3.83 on my way home yesterday!
