John Edwards Admitting an Affair

Rumors were around about 7-10 days ago about this and sometimes where there is smoke, there is fire. He admitted today that he did have an affair with a woman who was a part of his campaign. Maybe that was why he was getting the $400 haircuts.

Got news for you Johnnie boy, $400 haircuts do not improve character. It is such a shame that his wife who is tragically battling cancer again, now has to suffer the added humiliation of her husband's affair. It may be that this very strong lady will not be suffering humiliation, as it is truly shows a character flaw in him, but it is just one more thing she has on her plate now. That has to hurt - as she has stood by him through many years and the loss of a son. She was 100% behind his run for the Presidency, even in times of great distress for her.

Some will say maybe her illness was just too much for him to bear . . . well it may be to much for her to bear also. How tragic that he could not support her through her trials as well.

There is just not much you can say - it is just one more example of what can happen in a relationship when other major stresses are added. It really brings out the Real Person; it's where the rubber meets the road in character.
