Charleston SC Waterfront Park named by the American Planning Association one of the top 10 Great Public Spaces of 2008.

According to the Charleston Regional Business Journal, the American Planning Association named Charleston's Waterfront Park one of the top 10 great public spaces in the country. Charleston's Waterfront park is located in downtown Charleston and boasts a beautiful view of the Cooper River and the Charleston Harbor. It offers swings, benches, plenty of green space for picnicing, fountains and a peaceful retreat for anytime of the year. In the summertime you will find children running through the water fountains both locals and tourists alike. Walk down the dock and peek through the binoculars to see Patriots Point across the River in Mount Pleasant, Fort Sumter which you can take a boat tour out to visit or just gaze over the water at the sailboats passing by.
