New tax credit available for first-time home buyers

Changes in the Housing Market
New tax credit available for first-time home buyers

As part of the new economic stimulus plan passed on February 13, 2009, Congress has created a new federal tax credit to provide an incentive for first-time home buyers.

A tax credit of $8,000 will be available for first time home owners as well as for individuals whom have not bought within the pass three years. All purchase homes need to be your principal residence to be eligible for this government program. The provision is retroactive to purchases made on or after January 1, 2009 and it will run through December 31, 2009.

If you have not bought within the pass three years and/ or are a first time home buyer this is it, a true tax credit! Don't miss your chance, just give me a call. I can help!!!

This new tax credit replaces the previous $7,500 first-time home buyer tax credit created by the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008.

Contact my company and ask an Allen Tate Mortgage partner for a flyer and FAQ sheet detailing this information.
