Dave Is right. Share what you know and just read through the blogs. You will learn and make new friends. You will also get business. I have been at it for about 2 months and have got 3 leads so far. Stick with it and you will love it.

Karen.... Looks like Kim took the words right out of my mouth!!!  For a first post you seem to be well aware of the features... Now just get out there, leave some comments and as people wonder who the Newbie is they stop by to visit your post. Before long you be an old timer....in blogger years that is!  :-)

Hi Karen - Welcome to AR!  If you stick around and just network, you'll find you'll learn a tremendous amount and make some great new friends, too.  If you go to the home page, you'll find some links under the video up there that will help you, and there is a group called Active Rain Newbies.  That group has some terrific posts in it that have been very helpful to many members here.  Check those out and just get out and about here.

Read other people's posts, and comment on those you find interesting.  That's the best way to build up new friends, and to have people, in turn, read your posts.  Check out the groups here - there are a ton of them, but find topics that interest you and join those.

This is by far one of the best, if not THE best, place to be.  There is so much in the way of tips, ideas, suggestions, etc. that get shared here.  Put some of them in place, and you'll be far ahead of your competitors in no time!

Make sure when you post a blog and get comments, that you comment back. Nothing gets to me more than commenting on someones blog and you don't even get a thank-you. Courtesy. You'll have fun. It's a great place.

P.S. I'm jealous cause I didn't know how to add a picture to my blog and you figured it out immediately! You'll probably figure out how to add a link to your blog by tomorrow! Again, I still don't know. Good luck and I wish you well.

When you ask for help, AR bloggers bring it. Adding a photo on your first blog is pretty impressive, as are the two ladies in the photo.

My recommendation is to structure your AR time.

Join some groups - Realtors, Newbies, maybe marketing you or internet marketing.

You will move out from the groups.

Book mark the blogs you like, and subscribe to a couple of the bloggers you like.

Good topic.  I have an office in Ocean City NJ that is on the inter-coastal.  If anyone needs tips or advice about the inter-coastal from Cape May, NJ to Atlantic City, NJ I would be happy to help.  We have been seeing some very good fishing so far this season.
