It was 100 degrees Friday and I thought I would melt. I stopped at the grocery to pick up a few things and noticed this older couple lock there dog in the car, and walk in the store leaving a small crack in the window. I told them it was dangerous and they looked at me like I was crazy. It told they every nicely that it was 100 degrees outside and they could kill there pet leaving it in the car. They said they never realized it could get that hot and the man went and took the dog out while his wife picked up there few items, still when I was leaving he was still sitting waiting on her! I am sure that dog would die if he was left in the car as long as they were at that store. Please leave the dog at home, he would be better off. On top of that itis illegal and you could go to jaii. I dont think the dog really needs a nice ride in this heat! Please be careful it is really hot outside and closed vehicles can get hot in minutes!

Did you see the news report this week about the girl at the Hayward mall that got fined over $1000 for leaving 2 dogs in her car? What is wrong with people? I would have many more pets if my wife would let me, but the people that do not treat their pets any better deserve much worse than $1000 fines!
When I lived in South Florida, it was very common to see dogs locked in cars...Broke my heart! I programmed the number for Domestic Animal Services in my cell phone, called them and waited by the vehicle until they or the owner arrived (I was willing to break windows to save a dog, if needed). You are so right, Kathy. It is very dangerous and deadly!
