H-O-W-D-Y! How ya'll doin'? Since I like roaming the Black Hills of my beloved South Dakota and finding tidbits to share,
I pestered Duane until he gave me a space to tell you some fun things!

When you get 'there' what you might like to take a gander at:
- Fall River County Museum - 1893 Historical building with exceptional artifacts and memorabilia documenting the history of the Southern Black hills area and Hot Springs.
- Southern Hills Golf Course - Picked by "Golf Digest" as the #1 nine-hole course in North America! This picturesque course is set within pine covered mountains and offers a challenging game you won't soon forget.
- Angostura Recreation Area - Camping, fishing, boating, water skiing, picnicking. The best Hot Springs has to offer. And the walleye ya' ketch is m-m-m-GOOD!!!
- Cold Brook Recreation Area - Constructed in 1953, this recreation area is one mile from Hot Springs. Rugged red canyon walls, clear cold water, a clean sandy beach and shady camping areas beckon.
- Evans Plunge - World's largest natural warm water indoor swimming pool! Outdoor pool too. Big water slides, Tarzan rings, fun-tubes, pool games, super spa and fitness center. A family must!!
- Springs Bath House - Springs Bath House is the first bath house to return to the once-famous little town of Hot Springs, South Dakota in more than 60 years. Offers three hot mineral water soaking pools, message center, spa and juice bar.
- Cottonwood Recreation Area - Located five miles west of Hot Springs in beautiful Minnekahta Valley, this scenic spot is quiet and restful.
- The Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary - 12 miles south of Hot Springs off Highway 71. Two hour guided bus tours to view the wild Mustangs, ancient Indian petro glyphs, and the Ted Turner movie "Crazy Horse" on-site movie sets. Chuck wagon dinners available.
- Hot Springs' Historic Sandstone Architecture Walking Tour - FREE
- Mammoth Site - Stand on the edge of discovery! See an active paleontological excavation of Ice Age animals. A must for families with hands-on exhibits and newly expanded exhibit hall. This place is wayyyy kool!
- Driftwood Canyon Mountain Bike Trail - is located in the Black Hills National Forest between Hot Springs and Edgemont, SD, off of Fall River County Road 16
- Stone Quarry Canyon Mountain Bike Trail -is located in the Black Hills National Forest between Hot Springs and Edgemont, SD, off of US Highway18. It is an un-marked Forest Service Trail. You will be riding on two-track forest roads.
Now some folks might call me long winded because I could say all this in two breaths......
