Wordless Wednesday - Stop and Smell the Flowers

Wordless Wednesday - Well kinda sorta...

In our hectic, work-a-day world, we seldom seem to have enough time anymore to stop and smell the flowers. Lord knows how guilty I have been. Get home, make phone calls, eat supper, do this, do that, and before you know it; it's bed time. The next day seems to be the same drill. Same tune - different day.

The other day, while going through my evening routine, a dark, good-looking stranger made its presence known in my flower garden. Admiring its beauty and grace, I just had to stop what I was doing and admire the largest of all the swallowtail butterflies - the Giant Swallowtail Butterfly.

I was really taken aback with its large 6" wing span as it sipped nectar from the phlox by the waterfall. A rare site to this area of Tennessee, I was certainly glad that I stopped to smell the flowers - flying or otherwise.

Have a great humpday, Y'all... 8-)
