A friend of mine recently turned 40, I am fast approaching my 40th birthday as well, so I decided to write a list of 40 things we know now that we didn't know then. I further separated this list into 2 lists of 20. Please feel free to add your own, this should be fun!!
20 Things you know now that you wish you didn't know.
Being a grown up lasts a lot longer than being a kid.
The Easter Bunny was your Mom.
Santa was not really starving after delivering toys, Dad was, after wrapping them.
Your first love will not be your only love.
You won't always be able to eat that way.
Sugar is bad for you.
Being a grown up actually has more responsibility than freedom.
Owning a car means paying for gas and upkeep.
Having your own place means YOU have to clean it up.
Money does not grow on trees, or anything else.
Eventually your chest and your stomach will be indecipherable from one another.
If you are late to work over and over, your boss will not give you detention,
they will fire you!
It's not your parents fault.
If you spend the $$ the ATM chit says you have, you will overdraw your account.
If you over draw your account too often, the bank will close it.
40 is not old.:.)
Your parents were right...about everything.
You are not invincible, if go too fast and hit something you will get hurt
AND have to pay for it.
You will not always be able to talk your way out of it.
Caffeine is bad for you too.
