New Hixson Publix Opens at the new Creek

Early Wednesday morning the new Publix grocery store held its grand opening.  The time at 6:45am and the weather, a down pouring rain, were not enough to dissuade the large turnout. This is the second major grocery store grand opening in the last few months.

The Publix grand opening is the anchor for the new Creek Plantation Village which has been developed to serve the Hixson community.

Publix as a chain has made a strong move into the Chattanooga market. This is the third Publix opening in the Chattanooga area. The others are in East Brainerd and in Oolteway.

The new grocery store is part of the growth that is taking place in the Hixson area.
