I'm so excited! It's that time of year again!
The Carter House Christmas Candlelight Tour is Dec 5-6 from 5-9 pm.
This tour "offers guests an opportunity to experience a Civil War-era Christmas."
For the first time in awhile, Carnton Mansion will be on the tour - decorated how it may have been decorated in 1859, pre-Civil War.
The Carter House will depict how it might have been decorated in 1861 - the first year of the Civil War.
Other participants are St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Christ Community Chapel, the historic Creekside home, Abbey Leix Mansion, the Arts Guild of Franklin, and the Franklin Flower Shop.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors ages 65+ and $10 for ages 7-14. Anyone under 7 gets in free.
