Make a difference in a child's life

I know we are a very busy. Some days it is hard to find enough time to even grab lunch. This summer I spent each afternoon of one week at the housing projects. I had a few youth from our church to help me out. We brought the kids lunch, made a craft, played games, one day I asked our local fire department to come spray us down at the end of our day. We had so much fun spending time with the kids. We just showed up, knocked on doors and told them we were there to play and they came out for the afternoon. One little boy stands out in my mind. He told me that his mom said he needed to go outside she was tired of looking at him. We live in our own little perfect world and don't even pay attention to the hurting children around us. At the end of the day we would deliver them home. We go back to our lives but these children live this life each day. I was so sad when this week was over. I will be doing something there again this fall not sure what yet though. The pictures don't show all the things we did or even all the kids that came through the week. The fire truck was awesome! It would shoot water at that huge beach ball and the kids would push it to the fire truck as hard as they could but they were no match for the power of the water. lol It was so much fun....... as for my big beach ball...... it didn't survive. Your Real Estate team can make a difference also. I know this post does not seem to have a lot to do with Real Estate. If you make a difference in your town people do notice. Don't just do things for the free advertisment but a lot of times the local paper does show up. That is just an added bonus for doing the right thing.
