Nashville TN Real Estate January 2012 Home Sales

The Greater Nashville Association of Realtors reported that there were 1377 closings in January 2012 up 25% from the 1101 closings in January 2011! January sales have increased each year since 2009. While this is great news, we still have a long way to go.

There were 1615 pending sales at the end of the month of January compared to 1270 in the same time period of 2011. Inventory is down to 17,949 compared to 20,347 in January of 2011.

With the mild weather, homeowners are putting their homes on the market earlier than usual and we should see a very early "spring" selling market. If you are thinking of selling your home in 2012, you might consider getting in on the market sooner that later this year!
