The professional doesn't have to be clothed in the finest clothes . . . Just clean and well maintained.

A professional is a LEADER with a PRESENCE . . . People NOTICE and tend to have instant respect.

This requires a good measure of CONFIDENCE and BEARING . . .

A professional commands certain things of other people.

I generally expect to meet with a professional in HIS/HER office.

They are well spoken . . . well versed . . . well rehearsed . . . well scripted . . . a good command of language

Professionals DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY THEY WILL DO!

They return calls promptly and strategically - Not easy folks to catch if you're trying to sell them something they don't think they need.

Professionals are ENGAGED in their community and their trade associations - NETWORKERS

These folks are "Learning Fanatics" and are ALWAYS attending training sessions and conferences.

They read a LOT.

When they need something, they seek other Specialized Professionals who they KNOW will take care of business promptly and efficiently.

Professionals have STANDARDS they WILL NOT COMPROMISE.

Professionals command to be paid well for their services because they KNOW they are worth it.

On the flip side, Professionals pay those who serve them well . . . and they pay them well.

Professionals hold themselves to the highest moral and ethical standards . . .

They travel on the "high road".

These are charitable, benificent people who are the first to step forward to help others in times of need.

They won't, though, enable people who they know can dig themselves out.

Professionals are the first to STEP UP and SPEAK UP.
