Statistics have recently shown that 2 out of 5 Tennesseans living in Nashville Suburbs are here due to relocation from another area. 39% of Tennessee's growth since 2000 is made up of Davidson County and the 12 counties that make up its metropolitan statistical growth. The two top counties out of the 12 were Rutherford and Williamson. From 2000-2007 Rutherford County grew 31.5% and Williamson by 30%. Davidson only grew by 8.6%, but 49,300 residents were added which was second only to Rutherford County in terms of population increase. Tennessee's lack of a state income tax coupled with its mild climate and friendly atmosphere as well as the growing economic climate of Middle Tennessee make it a target for people wanting to retire, relocate from states such as Louisiana or up North or simply just to return to their original roots. The growing industry continues to draw new businesses to the area. Although Nashville is in a downward trend in real estate, it has faired well compared to other parts of the country. Nashville is a great place to live. If you are looking to relocate and need a realtor, give me a call.
