June 14-15 Head on out to Parkers Crossroads Battlefield Park to enjoy the Big Chili Cook off on Saturday and to hear a host of historians!
The Trails will be open all weekend for "Forrest's Great Escape". There will be demonstrations in the log cabin homestead and along the trail all day Saturday.
Sunday you can join the Period Church Service at 9. The demostrations last up til 4 and the weekend will end with the dedication of the McPeake Cabin. It's a 1850-s log structure recently reconstructed on the battlefield.
