I wish I could scream it from the clouds. It sadens me to hear of the number of people walking away from their homes. I want to tell them........Hey I can help. Wouldn't it be better to have your credit droppped by 50 or so points than 7 years of a default rating on your score. I guess not everyone is aware of a short sale. In most situations a bank would rather negotiate a short sale of your home than foreclose. Not only is a better result for your bank it is a better result for you and the end owner. As a full time Realtor I am expected to keep up with the current market and education. As a result of our current economy and market I have just completed 18 hours of education. My education titles include REO Default Certified Professional, First American Residential Value View, REOTrans Platinum Member. These classes taught me how to talk to the banks, organize the paperwork needed to work with the banks, and how to price your home to get the best result. Some homeowners that have maintained their income and other bill payments have been reconsidered to purchase another home in 30-60 days.
