I recently began a series of blogs about The Magic That is East Tennessee and focused on Blount County . - home to many truly amazing cities and town including Alcoa, Friendsville, Louisville, Maryville (the largest), Rockford, Townsend and Walland.

Although I could truly go on forever about what makes this area special, I thought I would list just TEN of my favorite reasons.

Blount County is located at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and one-third of the county lies in the national park.

Residents enjoy the peaceful solitude of the mountain lifestyle and the majestic awe of the landscape on a daily basis.
