Child Safety Seat Inspections This Saturday, Nashville TN

Metro Police Traffic officers, who are certified child safety seat inspectors,
will be available this Saturday, September 25, 2010, at Babies "R" Us at
5731 Nolensville Pike, Nashville TN, to provide free car seat inspections. This will give more assurance to parents that their children are riding safely when traveling in cars.

The free child safety seat inspections will be available from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. During the inspections, officers will show how to properly intall the car safety seats, and check seat model numbers against those that have been the subject of manufacturer recalls.

An estimated 85% of all children placed in safety seats are not properly restrained. Parents or guardians are invited to bring their child and their current safety seat for a free inspection.
